if stock:
firebird v6 has 16 inch trans am v8 have 16 inch. trans am ws6 have 17 inch. what do you have? look at the last number on the tire. it will be a 3 digit number then a 2 and then another 2
like 275/40/17 ws6 ta.
235/55/16 v6 firebird and ta.

i have 16 inch wheels, and my tires on the front are unmatching, one is 240/55/16 an the other is 235/55/16

Run a 245/50/16. I see them all day on camaros and firebirds at work. I never liked the 235/55/16's i had on my v6 firebird. Just my .02

While we're on the topic- does anyone know if a 285 or 295 will fit on a 17x9" wheel? I'd like a bit more meat but I want to keep the wheels I have.

Are you sure about that? I didnt think 17x11s were offered for the Trans Am I thought they were 17x9's with 275/40/17

315's shouldn't be mounted on a 9" wheel.

While we're on the topic- does anyone know if a 285 or 295 will fit on a 17x9" wheel? I'd like a bit more meat but I want to keep the wheels I have.

I feel the exact same way i really really like the 315's they're very sharp especially cause they come out of the fenders a little bit. I wanna keep my stock rims but i want 315's. Do they make stock rims in a bigger size for the car if so how much? Anybody have a pictures running 285's on stock rims?
