Tire selection ideas.
I want your opinions on which drag radial is the most bang for my buck. I'm looking for 275/40/17 i am ordering the Wednesday.

If you're looking for decent traction on the street and still want to be able to make it home comfortably in a rainstorm, I would recommend the Nitto 555R's. You should be able to get a set of rear 275/40/17's shipped for around $300. On average, they typically last between 5K - 9K miles before they need to be replaced. I still have street tires on the SS, however I have Nitto 555r's on my Corvette and they're great when they're warm.
2002 Camaro SS M6, 2.5 PRC 5.3L heads, TFS 228/230 cam, FAST 92, bolt ons + a 10 lb bottle in the back.
1989 Corvette L98, A4, Full bolt ons, etc.

Supposedly MT drag radials offer the most grip on the street, but are horrible in the rain. And as mentioned above the Nittos offer more grip in the rain, but with a sacrifice to some dry traction.
