    Tire Recommendation?

It's my first time putting tires on the Trans Am (the OEM's lasted about 21k miles), so I'm lookin for some recommendations. I'm pretty much sold on the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, but I'm open to advice. Any suggestions?

P.S. Car will be stored in winter, so I'm looking for a summer tire with great traction & decent treadlife.

I have heard nothing but good things about those tires. They are pricey but if you have the money why not? Good luck on your choice.

When I bought my car the previous owner had GS-D3's on the front and the OEM F1's on the rear. The car seemed to turn on a dime, and I had a decent launch. Time came for a rotation and, wow, huge difference. Steering was not as crisp, but now I could hook like a mo-fo. The GS-D3's seemed to almost hook better in the rain too, no lie, bad ass tire...

Wear seemed to be better than the OEM's, I ended up getting a nail in the sidewall a few months later though, had to scrap the tires. I'm running Cooper Zeon's for cost reasons, and it seems like i've had them on for 30k+ miles, they last forever. Nothing like the GS-D3's, but great for the price.

I have the GS-D3's and love them. If you keep them inflated about 40psi they turn really good. You can't beat them in the rain. I've had mine on for about 3 summers and I'm not sure how many miles. The rears still have one season left in them and the front's could go for another 3. I have different size front/rear so I can't rotate them. I'm not normally a Good Year tire fan, but these are great tires.
