front or back?
285 is about as wide as you can safely go all the way around....but i think your looking for a drag set up, so 315 on the rear can fit....ive seen wider but with modifications, like spacers.
dont quote me on this, but i think 26" is about as high as you can go on total tire height

I've seen some 315 work
might be able to go a little higher than 26", might need some adjustable LCAs to center it all up in the fender and an adjustable panhard bar to get it all dead center

You have more room up front than you do in the back for 315s. 315s work fine in the front, with no mods.

ok,will a 17x11 inch wheel with a 315/35zr17 nitto nt-555 tire fit the rear of a 02 t/a ws6? if not what mods need to be done? it does have a moser 12 bolt axle if that makes any difference.

Would using a 5/16 spacer help the clearance issue with the bump stop?

it could help but honestly I wouldn't use a spacer unless you've done everything else. when the wheel gets pushed further out there's a couple things that are bad that are now happening. one which is the most annoying is the wheel could be sticking out to the edge of the fender and when you go over big bumps or get the car twisted going up a driveway now you will have scrapes on your tires from the fender edge.
it's happening to me right now. I pounded the crap out of my inner fender, puncturing the metal at some points but it still wasn't enough for the tires so I added a 1/4" spacer. now I barely have enough clearance on the inside but the edge of the fender is chewing my tires up.(umi) k-mbr (w/ poly mounts), upper non adj.
