Tire Price$$
I called a local Goodyear shop about 4 new Eagle F1 GS D3's and the guy quoted me an price of like 1505.00 $$ total- I thought this was a bit high since you can order them for 200.00$ a piece plus shipping from most web sites? Was this guy "drunk" or something. What do you guys think?

Tire rep
I was thinking about ordering off a website like Tirerack (since threre are no Tirerack outlets anywhere near my residence) but if I buy from a website I still have to pay for shipping. Not sure what Tirerack charges for shipping but the Ws6store.com charges 60.00$ a tire for the Eagle GS-D3's. There is a "Discount Tire" outlet near my home so I guess I'll check with them next.
My instincts told me 1505.00$ was insane, thanks guys for the feedback.

Do some research while you are at it, there are other tires out there. Personally I like BFG KDW, alot of peeps use Nittos, there are alot of diff tires out there for diff needs.

KDW will save you $140 for a set of 4, $35 a piece cheaper than the Goodyear, and a very comparable tire

I got my Eagle F1's for $1080 from America's Tire. These are for 17's. Also depends on what size rim you have.

Cheaper than discounttire.com
The reason the GS-D3's are so insanely expensive right now is that Goodyear had a strike last month and those tires are on backorder, which means the suppliers who actually have them are charging a lot more than they should be.

Re tire
Yeah I just got the same info from a guy at Discount Tire( Goodyear Strike). But he told me he will beat any competitors deal so he agreed to charge me 201.00 a piece plus 15.00 a piece for shipping=950.00$ all together-Not too bad.

Yes, local dealers are nuts for their tire pricing. I have GS-D3's and I like them. I would like to try the KDW to though.
