    tire mounting and balancing ??'s

so as i recall there are a couple of different types of tire balancing. there are the weights that clip to the outside of the rim and i seem to remember wheel weights that go on the inside of the rim.

my question is what are the different types of balancing. it's been a long time since i did any balancing back in high school.

Static will balance the rim as a whole and will only require one weight on the inside of the wheel. Dynamic balances both the inner and outer sides of the wheel which results in a more precise balance, but requires weights on both sides of the wheel (unless your wheel has perfect balance which is unlikely).

Either way you can request stick on weights that will adhere on the inside of the wheel rather than the lip of the rim like conventional weights (pounded on with a hammer) I

thanks much. i found a place in town that will mount and balance and do the stick on inside wheel weights (not the pound on outers) for $13.00 per tire. i'll be dropping them off tomorrow and hopefully picking them up later in the day. hoping to get the car out of storage in the next week or so.
