    Ben Stiller movie.

    tell me about nittos

I'm looking to replace all 4 tires soon. I've heard nitto is the best for cornering and stuff. But there are like 4 types to choose from? I figured only 2 are relevant, the nt555's and the nt555R's. So which do i want? Looking for something that will be great for long distance driving, as i tend to put a 700 mile plus trip on them in a weekend. I'd like them to last atleast 2 seasons. I'm not a burn out junkie and rarely go to the drag strip.

Would it make any sense to mix n match? put 2 drags on the rear and 2 road tires on the front?

You want the Nitto NT555's. These are a street tire. I have them on my Z06's and they ride pretty good. They should last you awhile with the proper tire rotation. The other tire is a drag radial.

That's because you're trying to haul down 500+ lb/ft of torque.

That season I used the NT555R II Extreme for the front (17x9.5) the NT 555R Drag Radial (11x17) in the back. These tires are r-componds but have extremely good street mamnners. They also lasted forever (still have them mounted for a racing school in march)

You want the sticky tires get these if you are looking for a street only tire get the NT555's!

Nitto DRs don't hook with even a lightly modded car... If you do not race, you do not need em. Depends on your price range, I would just get 4 KDWS or something all season-ish. Nittos are not going to make your handling much better, specially if you are not burning out to warm em up haha

Yep, Nitto is the way to go. I wear the 450 Extreme street tires on the front and the NT555R drag radials on the rear and I'm more then pleased with the combo.

I'm still on 16s so those work fine for me. They don't make the 555s in 245/50 trim, otherwise I would have gotten those. I was just stating what my car rides on. Thanks for the site compliments.

This spring, I need new tires and I was planning on getting the NT 555R's, but I don't go to the track, just street use during good weather. So, you guys are saying to just get the NT 450's instead and not worry about the DR's?

If you're on 17s, get the NT 555 street tires.

    Yep, those are they!

I have the regular 555s on my rear and its been 15k+ and their still doing pretty good. Well, theyll need to be replaced in 2k Id say, but I am replacing them with the same tire.

    Good to know.
I guess that will save me a few $ over the 555R's. I don't know, maybe I'll still get the DR's for the rear.

They will wear out quicker on a daily driver so keep that in mind. I got mine for looks as my car sits most of the time.

I have to run a DR as a street tire.
Otherwise I can't go WOT until 4th gear.

I run the Nitto DR's as street tires.
