    Staggered Rims - 2002 Z28 w/ TCS & ABS

i was in the middle of changing summer 20's for winter 17's, had to run out with the front un-changed, turned the "TCS" off and the car started throwing "ABS" codes. got home finished the job and everything was alright.
so if i do the staggered rim thing will i start to have trouble if i do a 9 inch rear with slicks behind. is there a certain diameter limit that must be maintained between the front and rear wheels. thx

It's the Overall Diameter that is important... not the size of rim.
What size tires are you using ?

I tried 15" ET Street with front skinnies I think app.6 difference and got ABS inop I think the light said. I think the rim and tire sizes dont matter that much as long as there is only a small variance front to rear .

    staggered rims

i was using 25.5 inch diameter tire on the rear and a 27 inch diameter tire on the front at that instance. but i wanted to know for future purchases, what will work. i want to go with a 9" Moser and large slicks. will i be able to keep ABS and TCS if the rear tire diameter and the front tire diameter is not planned ahead, which is just in reverse as the rear rim is usually larger as well as the slick. thx

try to keep the overall diameter the same... anything over 1" difference tends to give problems.
