Hey guys Im changing the rims on my 2002 Z28 from the 16inch rim to the 17in. ss rim, do you think the speedo will need to be recalabrated?

Not if the wheel tire combo is the same rolling diameter as it is right now. Chances are they will be identical...bigger wheel, smaller tire.

No, they are about an inch different.

I'm running a set of Corvett wheels and Tires, 245 45 ZR 17 super car front and 275 40 ZR 18 super car in the rear. I've checked the speedo with my GPS and it's pretty close.

difference between ss and slp rims

Is there any difference between the ss rims and the slp ss rims in size or is one flat and the other chromed?

speedo will not be off @ all... the overall diameter of both is identical, provided you go w/ a 275/40-17 tire.
as for the SS vs SLP wheel... same thing.

There is a difference. I had the same wheels on my car and there was a difference in sizes.

Agree no difference at all. Only different if you change your rear.

    I went from a 16" wheel with 245/50's to an 18" wheel with 275/35's
My overall dianeter only changed approx .100 of an inch. Which is not enough to make a real difference with the speedo.
