    Ruff or TSW wheel Quality??

I am looking to get some new wheels and have found a couple sets I like, right now its between Ruff R278s and TSW Jarama.
I have tried searching for some info on the quality of the wheels, but have not found much. I know several guys here have the Ruffs, but the store in town told me they stopped carrying them awhile back due to quality issues. I have also heard that the bolt pattern on them are not exactly right for F-bodies. Does anyone have input on these wheels? To the guys that have them, do you have to use a plastic hub spacer also?

As for TSW, does anyone know much about this company?

    Thanks in advance,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

I have had my RUFF280 for 2 years with no issue at all. I am not using a hub spacer . Quality is really good for the price you pay.
I have nothing bad to say about RUFF wheels.

I don't personally know about the quality of the TSW wheels But I've never heard anything bad about them. But I do know they've been around a good 20yrs.

TSW has been around for quite some time...They have lasted so I would imagine that their quality is decent...I was looking into RUFF's as well, I cant speak for the quality, but a great price. I ended up going with HP Evo's, just got em last week.

TSW is newly becoming a prime wheel manufacturer since they have gotten so many new dealers. They use state of the art equipment to manufacturer their wheels to a higher standard than most. They have some neat designs too.

I have heard nothing but good things about them.

    Thanks for the info.

I agree, I liked the Ruffs better but am alittle hesitant to buy them due to what I have heard.

I can try and post some up later, but I am not looking for opinions on which one looks better. I am interested in the QUALITY of the two wheel and their respective companies.

ruff wheels aren't the proper bolt pattern, so I wouldn't chose them.
you need 5x120.65, not 5x120 (bolts will get loose, because the torque is concentrated on one side of the nut, not uniformely)

    almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

Well if this is the case you will need to drop both RUFF and TSW since both stating 5x120 for F-body
And as bolt patterns are measured across two studs-difference would be .325 mm difference per stud and calculate the manufacturing tolerances into this.
But, i have one question, what about the lug nut style should this be taking in to consideration?

the lugnut style should go based on the shape on the wheel... some are tapered, some are round.

According to their website, Ruff does make a 5x120.65
