Rims & Tires Suggestions
Hey i am in dire need of new tires and i thought i might as well put new rims on in the process....I really want to do the whole fatter tire and wheel in the rear and skinner/stock size in the front. I was just wanting to know a good looking rim and decent tire that is fairly cheap that i could buy to put on the car. It is a 02 red ws6 by the way. Ive seen the torque thrust II, but i havent found tires yet..,, and help would be great thanks

Black- 2002 ws6 (6 speed)
if it were me i would put staggered zr1s (alot cheaper than torque thrust) and better looking in my opinion. i would do black zr1s with a chrome lips then paint your calipers red.., front is 9in wide with 275/40/17s and back is 315/35/17 and rim is 11'' in the back. same tire sizes for torque thrust. might not be your taste but thats my opinion
good luck!1999 mbm Z m6/ forged 346, lt's, wires, ls6 intake, sts rear turbo.

TTII's are a classic look on the Trans Am. They just look right at home.
If you want to be a little different, get the 18's.

On black....I like the polished aluminum basic TTII.
Friend has the silver spoke version (anthricide?) on his silver car and they look great!

Never been a black spoke/polished lip fan on a black car.
Too much black for me.

i was looking at some foose nitrous in grey or chrome but im sure if they make them in 11inch rears......i like the TTII but i wish i could find them in either a gun metal grey or black with chrome/polished rim. What about tires...any good brands that make it in that size for a decent price?

also i think the z06 and c5 rims look like they belong on a camaro not so much on a T/A imo...think i should go with 17inch in the front and 18inch on the rear? oh and where could i get a good kit to paint the calipers red, and how hard is it?

well all of your "good" tires are gonna be expensive.. you got your nittos and toyos and all that stuff. i run bridestone potenzas on mine and they hook great. my buddy has them on his gto and they hook great also, even tho theres a big size difference.. mine=305s his=245s

i would just do staggered 17inch wheels, (cheaper on the tires and look better IMO) but i used brush on paint for my calipers instead of spray paint and it turned out great, just search for some online. i paid 11 bucks for mine from autozone and it came with enough paint to FULLY paint the calipers 3 more times or so and cleaning stuff and a brush and tape.. but they said the paint got discontinued for some reason thank goodness i got a good bit left.. but im sure you can find some online, and it takes a while but it better than tapin a bunch of crap off and havin runs

i just looked at the torque thrust m and i think they only come in 17x10.5...now if i were to get those what tire size would fit that...the same 315x35x17? do you all think those rims in grey would look pretty good on a red car?
