That place is about twice as much as oewheels. Also, I'm not a fan of rivets, but that's just me.

Yes, 18x10.5 with 295s was what I ran when I had my Z06 wheels, no spacers, no problems at all. Bolt them on and go.

then i can finaly put the hammer down in my car no TCS sucks.... but can also make for some fun times

That 295 “45” 18 is gonna be really thick on the side wall, you might wanna go with a 35 instead if you are lowered, otherwise it may rub. I dont think Nitto makes 295s in a 35 but they make a 305 which is definitely doable. Also I would go with the NT05R, for all out drag traction, or the 555R for great streetable z rated drag traction. Not that the NT05 is a bad choice just that for our straight line monsters the other two are better imo.

i am lowered and had to go with a 35 sidewall in the rear and there is now rubbing. if you aren't lowered you can probably get away with a 40

well im not lowered and i dont plan too, unless the tires rase it up that much, and will the 305 fit w/o modification? hell im running 245/50/16 right now.

everyone says nittos run small and a 305 is almost the same as 295. there shouldnt be any problems as long as your rim offset is right.

the ones im looking at are 56mm offset, i was thinking about getting the NT05 b/c this is my dd and i do want good ride comfort, and the NT05R rating in rain kinda scares me.

Ok now that I have looked around a little more, this is what I’m thinking
F 17X9.5 (has 54mm offset) with Firehawk Wide Oval 265/40/17
R 18X10.5 (has 56mm offset) With Firehawk Wide Oval 295/35/18
that gives me a 30mm diff on the back, ~1.5 inches
the firehawk tire’s UTQG is 320, trac AA, temp A
reviews show they can last 20K-40K miles under more aggressive driving, weekend drag type stuff, good for hot rodding around and daily driving.

i am just concerned about that rear offset with that width. i think there has been problems with fitment when the wheels have OEM vette specs. I am not 100% positive so don't quote me on that but you may want to look into it.

you were talking about wheels and i was still on tires lol. every one i have talked too says the 18X10.5 with the 56 mm offset fit my firebird, oem site, extreme auto, discount tire, and several other wheel and tire shops and web sites.

well the tires should fit just fine with no problems aslong as the wheels tuck in their nicely. i just know on my c6 oem rims with a 56mm backspacing in the rear, i had to cut the bump stops.
