Questions about wheels
1. Would 16x8 tires fit 17x8 wheels?
2. I would like to buy a set of TTII's or Cragar SS. What would the bolt pattern be and is there anything else I need to know about it?
Thanks

well if you want the same rolling diam. of the tire you can use 245/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear. when you order the wheels they should come in one offest and one bolt pattern when you tell them the vehicle.

No, a 17x8 wheel needs a 17" tire
2. I would like to buy a set of TTII's or Cragar SS. What would the bolt pattern be and is there anything else I need to know about it?
-Well, first off the wheels would be 17x9 or 17x9.5
-The bolt pattern will be 4.75" x 5 and I think the offset would be like 54mm or 56mm(dont hold me to that, can't remember off the top of my head)
-When you order them you can just tell them the car they are going on and they should tell you the correct wheels to order.
-I would suggest to get 275/40/17 tires for all corners like the SS & Firehawk come with from the factory, it makes it easier to rotate the tires that way.Last edited by murphy80; 12-17-2005 at 03:55 PM.

I wouldnt suggest 275 all around. Yes you cant rotate but you will notice not only easier to turn the wheel but better turn radius and price of tires.

I have 285/40/17 BFG KDWS on 9.5x 17 with 56 mm offset on a stock 2002 Z28. No issues. Check Costco for the tires. Like $145 each.
