QUESTION: some tire help

a guy came into my shop the other day b/c he noticed my car out front. came in and asked me if i was interested in buying brand new IN BOX genuine 17inch black z06 rims. the rims are legit. i would be putting them on a dark metallic blue 1999 trans am. he wants $500 for the set.
are the rims worth buying to go on my car?...b/c i know some people say i sghouldnt do black rims on my car, but with a deal like this, im tempted.

if i buy these rims, im going to need some tires. i was thinking BFGoodrich G-Forces for the rear and something with a little harder of a compound for the fronts. what do you guys think?

Yepp you could allways go back, personaly i dont like the look of black rims but if it works then it works. Worse case, You dont like them, yank them off and sell them.
