    Pics of my new rims and tires

    OK so when I bought the car, it had a set of 18" C5 Z06s in it. and a set of bad tires. backs weren't all that bad, but the outsides of the fronts were, and they were old, rubber was hard and crumbled in some places.

    Rims and tires were high on the list of mods, but things like a new clutch, new house, etc, pushed things back.

    We now I finally did it.

    I wanted wider rims, and i think these wheels are over played, I probably would have kept them, but 3 were curb rashed pretty good, and the other was bent.

    I got a set of 18X10.5 and 17X9.5 C6 Z06 Deep dish chrome rims. along with 275/40/17 Firestone Wide Oval 500s, and 295/35/18 BFG KDW IIs. I know i said vette rims are over played, but I don't think these share much in common with them, other than being a 5 spoke rim.


    Anyway, here's the before and after pics.





    To me this one shows how the tires are way too skinny for the rims

    Looks good, Spikito I used to have the clear version of those taillights. Didn't look too bad on a white SS, but the guy who sold it to me also gave me the brand new set of stocks he bought for them, so I put them back on and sold the others.

    I guess I've not been paying much attention to the site for a while. Last I knew you still had a V6 youme

    lol, i bought this last july, i kept the 3.8 until this past january, sold it to buy a house.

    the SS came with the stock tail lights...i'm contemplating putting them on.

    i think it was cuz it was 295/35, or 315/30, and i wanted more sidewall than the 30, i was also worried about rubbing, and i think it was like 40 more a tire...ill prob get them next time though.

    haha i wasn't hounding and just didn't have time to say much. i like the way they look. black and chrome always works well and you know i love the deep dish. now if only your driveway wasn't so steep.
