Nitto Tire Pressure

Ok, I just replaced my 285/40/17 BFG KDWSs with 275/40/17 Nitto 555s on the front and 555R Drag Radials on the rear. I figured that despite the slightly smaller size (I really liked the bigger size, but they don't make the 555Rs in that size) that the Drag Radials would still hookup better, but I'm not seeing it I always run max pressure stated on the side wall (44 psi on the KDWSs) but know the Drag Radials like low pressures. I'm down to 25 psi and still not impressed. I drive it ALOT on the highway, so 15 psi is too low. Anyone have any experience with these?

have plenty of experience. on the street, you just can't floor it and expect them to hook. what you will notice is you can 'roll' into the throttle more that you would with the BFG's. i run 24-26 psi on the nittos.

side note: you only need 30 psi in your tires. even though the tire says 44 psi, you need to look at what the manufacturer says to run. look on your driver's door. you'll see a sticker that tells you the tire size and pressure to run. the higher pressures will enhance cornering. to high of a pressure will cause less tread to touch the ground.
