Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance

Hey guys,
does anyone know anything about these tires? Nitto NT 555 Extreme performance. How they grip on launch and cornering. I was thinking about getting some. 275/40ZR17 for the front and 315/35ZR17 for the back.
I don't think I will have to mod the back, it's never been lowered.
American Racing said they would anyway. The rims will be american racing TTII's. 17X9.5 front and 17X11 rear.

my buddy has them on his LT1 procharged firehawk. same size out back.

blows em off from a 50 roll like its nothin.....then again he is like making bout 700+whp

honestly, if I was gonna get some new tires, I'd get the 555r's the drag radials

Had them on my Camaro, grip well on a launch, cornering never had issues- and I did push it preety hard, but in the rain forget it, good tread life though.

Had some on an 06 mustang GT and they had good traction, but rode rough. Had them for 5000 miles before I sold the car, so I couldn't tell you about tread life.
