nitto 555 vs toyo tq?
Looking at some Dr tires for dd. I want higher miles I drive 6000 or so a year wanted a grippy but longer lasting tire. I hear m/ts hook like none other but last about 2000 miles so its either the 555 or tq tires by Tokyo. Any input is appreciated.

I have the Nitto NT05R for the street and they hook well and they wear pretty good. I also think they look better then the other's, I have about 1,000 miles on them and they are over half tread and that's with a few track runs.

I have the 555R's with around 13K miles on them. They dead hook on the street in 2nd and 3rd with my mods. They are on their last leg though.
They suck at the track though...Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Yep. Have to compromise...either street or track wheels...or get two different set-ups.

Yes, my nt05r suck at the track, have m/t's for the track. About 3 tenths difference in my 60ft between the two at the track.

I have Toyos on now and they have no grip whatsoever. Only mods are magnaflow cat back and slp lid. Great tread wear just no grip. I'm getting the nitto 555 here in a couple weeks.

If you want drag radials, you want the 555R, not the 555.

Not looking for straight drag radials per say. Just something that doesn't spin the roads when I lay on it. Straight line burnouts suck now donuts are a different story Haha. But with all the input I believe I'll go with the nitto tires just unsure what tire and size I'll stick with what I have till next spring I suppose thanks everyone. Helped out a lot better than the guy at the counter at Goodyear.
