New wheels?

I would like to replace the original 17x9 rear wheels on my 99 ss with some 17x11's I believe the car has an original suspension. And if this is possible would I also be able to put a slightly taller tire on the rear, say an inch or two. The wider wheel, tire combination would look better I think. One of my rear wheels (original) has a small bend in it. I found the replacements at JEGS, I would like to go wider if they will work without rubbing other problems. Also Where would I find those rims cheaper. I want to stick with the style or rims that the car was built with, They are chrome, 17x9 Detroit Wheels, With SS center caps. Jegs price is over $300 each for the 17x11's, Any help?

you can fit 17x11 on all corners... harder to fit in the rear... massage therapy required.
you'll need something like +50mm offset.
also, i recommend you stay with same overall diameter... ie 315/35-17

I've been reading stuff on here for several days now, and learning a bunch. To all of you answering my dumb questions thank you! I love all the pictures of everybodys rides specially those maros. Lots of pictures are not showing up on my screen, But I'll figure it out sooner or later. I know less about these blasted computers than I know about cars.
