New tires, will bigger ones fit?
Hey guys, i have a question about some tires..
Right now im on 17'' Zr1's, running bfg sports 275/40/17.
I am looking for a upgrade, i am going to be using the same size tire in the front, 275/40/17. And i was wondering, can a stock wheel, the zr1. i think it is 9.5 wide, w/e came with the car. Can they handle bigger tires, for the back? Im going to be using street tires, so no DR right now..
So is this possible?
And im looking at the same tire BFG Sport, or for 170 'each' i can get Eagle F1 All Season..
Any suggestions? Dont wanna pay too much money on some tires..
Thanks.

for a non drag radial a 285/40/17 will fit if you wanted a drag radial, M/T has a new 295/45/17 that will work.

I'm going with some fat ass 315s for the back this spring but, I have 11' wide rims in the back.
If you want something like that, you will have to get a wider rim.
Tire Rack.com has a tire size guide up there that explains what you need. I think Discounttire.com does too.

They are decent, you should like them.
I put some 275/40/17s Falken 452's on the front of mine. I think i had 245/50/16s before that, and they ride just as smooth even thought the sidewall was smaller and grip great.
