New to the site, wheel advice

I got an 02 WS6, all stock, want to upgrade the wheels. I am gonna get some C6 rims 18's all the way around. Want to know if I should do the
    18 X 8.5 or 18 X 9.5. Will probably be putting 275's on em. Which one? Thanks.

Where in Tx are you? When you end up getting those c6 rims lemme know, I'll buy those ws6 rims off of you.
You'd be fine with 8.5 using 275's, but going with a 9.5 rim you'll have the option of going with a much bigger tire if you so choose one day. At the same time, there is a guy on here from TX running a 315 nitto on his stock 8.5 rim. Food for thought.

Thanks for the reply, will prob go with the 9.5's then. I like the WS6 rims but I want some chrome. Plus I spun out couple weeks back, wet road, and hit a curb, took a 3" by 1" chunk off the edge of one of my wheels . Plan on keeping them in case I ever go back stock if I ever sell, not for a long time, plus the rubber is still really new. I want to do some minor mods but nothing major.

    triple-black
    2000 CamaroSS convertible

    you can even go w/ 18x10.5 C6 wheels all-around..
    that's what i have.
If you don't want that wide, go w/ 18x9.5 and put 275/35-18 on them.

I wanted to do the stagerred fit, but I dont want to have to bang out the wheel wells to make them fit. I ordered the wheels and rims yesterday. Getting 18X8.5" all around with 275/35/18 Nitto's. Should be fine for now. I wanted to get the new Eagle F1 all season, pretty cool tire, but they are backordered for many months!

I was wondering. I asked the guy at the tire shop and he said that the 9.5's would stretch the 275 tire out more. Is that true or crap?

As opposed to an 8.5 yes, BUT the 9.5 is standard wheel width most of the time for 275 tires.

Here's a new set I saw the other day........guy has a darn nice price on these oem's !

Nice price but I think the offset is still too much on the rears. I wanted to get 19 and 18's but ran into the same problem.
