Need new tires on a budget

Ok so I have two flat tires that can't be fixed. My '01 WS6 is a DD and I am in need of new tires but I am on a strict budget. Can anyone recommend me any decent tires and a good place to purchase from them? My tire ratings 275/40/17 Thanks much!

Lol pretty much no more than 450 I can go maybe 500 and even that I would have to buy 2 sets until my next check God I hate being laid-off!

if budget is that much of a concern, why not just replace the two tires that are bad?

That makes sence lol. I am going to do that since the other ones should last me some time if I drive normally.

Was considering buying two of these http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
    What you guys think?

If they are half as good as the old SZ50's they would be a good tire,if they are just as good they would be a great tire.

Well maybe not as good as the SZ50,they were great in the rain.

Heres what Tire Rack said :

What We Liked: Excellent steering feel and dry track handling
    What We'd Improve: Wet traction
Conclusion: A great option for drivers who do not emphasize wet grip
    Latest Test Rank: 4th
Previous Test Rank: Not previously tested

Evergreen / Look like knock off dunlop sports

Try the evergreen eu72s if you can get them where they are at:

    http://www.tradetyres.com.au/evergreen_eu72.php

They are really sticky wet and dry and dirt ass cheap. Have had them for a week. Don't know how long they will last if I drive sensibly

But I like what I see so far and they stack up to my old Dunlop SP Sport Maxx.

I've got the Firestone Wide Oval Indy's in 275/40-17. They are great daily driver tires. Great ride, quiet, good dry grip, really good wet grip. I use them in C. FL and from May to Sept. it rains an inch in a half hour every day. No worries with the Indy's.

Most places will sell you a Z rated tire. Z rated tires are 168 mph,186 mph or in excess of 186 mph. Do you drive 168 mph ever? Do you ever do over 140 mph (V rated tire). I went down to a H rated tire (130 mph). I would talk with a local tire shop about lower tire ratings and the lower price tires they have. I paid 336 for 4 Cooper H rated tires..

always run your worst tires on the rear......I understand your thinking but if he has a blowout on an old bald tire at 65mph it'd be much safer on the back.

OP.....look at Kuhmo's. Good tire for the money.
