    NANKANG tires, worth a chance?

Here's the deal I just purchased 18s*9.5 C6s. After looking around, tires are more than or = to what I paid for the rims. I hate to spend that much just on tires. I was looking on ebay and found these, I personally have never heard of them. The tread design and tread wear look good. What do yaull think, should I take a chance and try them, or stick to tirerack & discount tire?

Tires are 275-35-18s here's the ebay page

ahh god, never get ebay tires unless they are name brand, I got some Nexen 3000's with my ZR1's and I must say worst fuking tires ever...now Im rolling on Yokohama S-drives, so much better! Plus these are only rated for 130 mph...so there will be a lot of tire roll if you lanch your car and i garuntee they will handle and feel like shit.

sumitomos HTR Z II's are decent for being around $500 a set... unfortunately your looking at spending at least $800 for a nice set of 18" shoes

    BFG's

dude honestly i would go with BFG G-Sport they are they best Street/Drag tire.. Period.. IMO... Sumitomos are cheap ass tires and don't perform worth a shit.. Bang for your buck would be BFG's.. Trust me you won't be dissapointed.. Check them out on tire rack they got some good deals.. I would go with 275/35/18.. I stop shoppin at tire rack, cuz i got the hookup at firestone and they get me the tire plus dismount and remount the tire and balance it for less the 200 a pop.. for one..

yea I think im going to go ahead and spend the $ on proally those BFGs. I have alot riding on those tires and I love that tread design on them. Also I was wondering how tall are the side walls on the 275/35/18s?

I have Nankangs on my car. They were on it when I bought it, along with some hideous chrome wheels.

They're not the tires you pictured though, they're the NS1's. They actually don't seem to be a bad tire. As far as I can tell they're pretty quiet, and I'm actually impressed with them in the rain. They seem to grip well and resist hydroplaning very well. They suck in the snow though, which is to be expected.

As far as they way they hook up, well I can light them up pretty easy, but I haven't run any other tires to compare them to.

As far as speed rating, who cares if they're only rated to 130mph? Do you do much traveling at 130mph?
