This just basicly happened to me with my Nitto DR's.
Had my tire plugged. Will NOT be racing on it.

Are these street tires?? Or drag only tires?

If you have a good tire shop they should be able to patch it or even use a plug patch
and as far as racing on it I think it would be fine since the patches meet dot regulations

Well this dude I know at Discount Tire had a patch/plug on his car and did about 140mph for about half an hour down to Tucson with no problems. So I guess high speed is ok. I still would NOT drag race with one on my rear tire tho.

I wouldn't go fast on a patch. Shops don't always do the best job of it. I've had one leak again after going on the highway at 70. If you get to high speeds or drag race on them then unfortunately the best thing to do is buy a new tire. Or see if you have some kind of warranty on it since sometimes you will.

you can inside patch it. i've done it before and raced on it. "technically" a patched tire no longer meets safety guidelines. just don't put a plug from the outside into it.

^ you did it or had it done? do you know a reputable company that does it? I'd be afraid they'd charge extra and just do outside.

I work for a major nail distrabuter and i see people getting nails daily from the trucks that come and go. they patch them mostly, some plug, even put that green shit in there
but me i would buy a new tire , that patch would bother the piss out of me.

patch it, and buy a radial tube, aprox $50.00 and a new tire is $175.00
I have been 6.90's in the 1/8th on a patched and tubed BFG drag radial with no trouble at all.
