    Largest brake kit 02 WS6 w/ C5 Z06 17's

    Hello all,

This may be in the wrong section, if so I appologize. What is the largest diameter brake rotor "conversion kit" that I can fit on a '02 WS6 with factory 17 inch C5 Z06 wheels?

I know there are kits for the 13 inch C5 brakes, but I was really hoping for 14's or so.

Will showed me info on using the C6 rotor with CTS-V (Brembo 4 piston) calibers for the front wheels that will work with my 17x9 YR1 wheels.

I'll see if he can post it up.

There are others but the ctsv setup seems to be the best bang for the buck.

What diameter are the CTSV or C6 rotors? Anyone have a link they can put up or pm me for the kits?

Those are 14" c6 z06 rotors with 4 Pistons brembos under 17s in the last pictures btw. If you have any questions about the swap feel free to ask.

I thought you had to have 18's for those, how much space is in between he calipers and the width of the wheel (not the hub/spokes)?

About a quarter of an inch from the spokes and an eighth or less from the caliper to the rim itself. With a little grinding there would be more and a better fit.

Was this a kit that you bought, or did you put it together yourself? How much did it cost? Any fading or over heating?

I pieced it together but I can tell you exactly what you need. The price really depends on how expensive you go on rotors and pads. I did it at first with stock z06 rotors and stock cts-v pads and it was around $600 for everything. But I have since upgraded to r1 concepts premium rotors and hawk hp+ pads. There is zero fading or anything btw.

If you get this setup it will greatly add to the cost by $580+ but it is worth it.

The parts needed for the swap at a minimum are:

    Gen 1 cts-v brembos
    C6 z06 rotors
    Cts-v pads
    Flynbye custom brake line
    M12 Washers
    Copper m8 washers
Spacer (depends on the wheel my new wheels don't need them)
