Kumho Ecsta ASX any good? Winter driving?

My local tire shop is pushing these on me for my 2002 Z28. I asked for a good winter tire as I drive my Camaro year round in northern Colorado and sometime get in pretty deep snow! The Stock Eagles did pretty well in snow till last year when they really started to fish tale. I got 49,000 miles out of them!

So are the Kumho's any good. They are "W" rated. How will that change the handeling of the car? I do not race and it is a daily driver and I'm most concerned with snow/wet performence, nice ride quality, MPG and long life(40,000+ miles).
They quoated me $570 installed with warranty and free rotations ect.

    Many thnaks!!!!!

I just got my news rims wrapped in Kumho Ecasta ASXs today. I got them because a friend i work with has them on his showcar (Scion Tc - don't hate) his have lasted him a good 25k miles with a lot of rough driving.
He says they did well in the wintertime (northen VA mind you) but TCs dont have any torque and they are front wheel drive so a set of slicks probably would have worked just as well. The guys at a nearby tire shop reccommended them to me aswell so overall i would say go for it.

So i just put them on my car tonight, they are great for traction. They look pretty badass too. I dont plan on driving in snow but if by some one in a million chance i do, i will let you know how it does.
