Blackety Black- 35th Anniversary SS
I keep losing my nuts!!!
Well not my nuts, but those chrome lug nut covers keep flying off my lug nuts. Most likely because the car is doing 130+ every weekend not sure tho why they wouldn't stay on. Anyway, i have 17" C5 Z06 rims on the car. Does anyone know or suggest where i can get some quality polished lug nuts that don't have caps that will be compatible with my wheels? Any help would be great thanks.

I'd use the same nuts but put a thin layer of silicone around the nut before you put them on. It'll provide grip and will still allow you to take them off.

Not sure exactly what you mean. The ones i have you have to twist off the plastic caps. Once you take those off you can use an impact to get the actual lug nuts off. The lug underneath the plastic caps are non plated metal, and they're open ended nuts so it's more ugly with only the lugs on.

Take some silicone and rub in on the inside of the plastic caps then screw them on the lug nuts it'll create a seal so the plastic caps will seal to the lugnuts but you can still take them off. Just make sure its not a silicone adhesive or you'll brake them trying to take them off. a latex style silicone sealant works good.

The guy at tomzwheels throwed them in for free with my wheels. Came with the locks also.
This is what the locks look like......I think he sells them ( locks and lugs) for $30 plus shipping

Check Parts For Your Car. I got them there before and you wont pay SLPs prices. Also,SLP wants to sell you 20 and they wont break the set.
