    how many miles out of mickey thompson drag radials

    i just bought a set of MT drag radials...for 190 a tire... the guy said between 5 and 7 thousand id get out of them ...is there anyone who is or has run these can give me a better estimation?

    i couldnt tell you how many miles they last but going to the track shouldnt hurt them to much, because you wont be doing a burn out

    The track is what kills them.
    You have to warm them each pass. 5 seconds or so each time smoking them.

    They are a VERY soft tire.

    If you baby them they might make 5K, but racing them...not going to get much out of them mileage wise.
    You will hook though.

    thanks... i was previously running a 2.1-2.2 60 ft. on dunlop sport 9000's..you think i could get in the 1.8 range? im looking to bust 12 my best is 13.30 at 106mph

    they were but they did their job for a street tire.... thanks for the info..hope i dont blow my stock rear now...

    i mean im probably just gonna run them at the track... but i know a couple people with ls1's with the stock rear and drag radials...two of them are mid 11 second cars and they havent blown theirs yet.... i mean i know its a risk, but not a gaurantee
