Help with new wheels...
I would like to replace my stock wheels... 1998 WS6
I love these, saw them on a corvette... looks like a tribal design!

Stock replacement would be 17x9.5?
Sorry for my ignorance, but I know to ask you experts!

You would just need to make sure that you have the proper offest/backspacing.
There used to be posts on here describing what the offset measurement is and how to determine how much you need to keep from having the tires rub the inside fender wells. Do a search and familiarize yourself with these settings before ordering any wheels.
I got some 17 x 9 ASA JS5 chrome rims from Tire Rack which have a +50 mm offset for my 2002 TA. I have no rubbing issues at all.

Thanks for the reply. I did get the wheels - I have no problem with rubbing but they make my tires stick out about 2" from the fender. I think I just have to get used to the look, but the wheels are HOT!

I did keep the stocks. I have a friend who has a garage for inspection, so hopefully it'll pass with him and as long as the cops don't harass me, I should be ok.
I'm still uncertain about the look anyway... might end up going back to stock and selling these... I don't know...
I wanted a different look than all the other black WS6s I've seen around my area.

^ if you change the wheels, I'd go with bronze. looks good on a black car. whatever you do, don't get black ones with the polished lip. its not bad looking, but extremely common.

true but please dont put those on a trans am. your driving a trans am not a el camino. If you car could talk he would be pissed trust me. look up "o.e. wheels" on the internet, they have a lot of nice rims.

They are on and they look awesome. I think most of the wheels out there look too "PR-ish" (no offense to anyone) and I didn't want that look. These look more "rock n roll" if you know what I mean! And they are different from what most people have. Like I said, I saw them on a Corvette and they looked badass... as they do on my car. I'll post pics when I take 'em.
