Falken 615s or Nitto NT01s?
I need some tires in a 315 30 18 size for my 18x11s. The car is a weekend driver and with an occasional track day. I'm debating between the Falken 615 http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...35&rd=18&ar=30
and the Nitto NT01 http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...96&rd=18&ar=30
From what I've read the NT01 is a great tire performance wise but it has a very low tread wear rating and will wear out quickly, I have doubts that it would last me 7-8000 miles (two years of driving).
The Falken is suppose to be better as far as tread wear goes but gets greasy under heavy cars like the pigs we drive. I'm not sure how quickly the tire would overheat though so I've been considering it mostly just because should get more life out of it. Plus given the limited track time I would be using it for I don't know that it would make any difference on the street.
Does anyone have any personal experiences or thoughts? I've been doing google searches and reading the message boards for days.

Nitto NT01 or Falken Azenis RT-615?
The car is a weekend driver and sees an occasional DE. It probably only sees 4-5k miles a year.
I've been debating between the falken and the Nitto.
From what I've read the Falken tends to get greasy under heavy cars when tracked. But they do have a decent tread wear and are very streetable with people commenting they get between 10-15k miles out of a set pretty regularly.
The Nittos are very capable but have low tread wear supposedly. I've read a lot of conflicting reports on how quickly the tires really wear. Not many people seem to run around on the street with them.
I'd really like to get a couple summers out of them. I don't want something that's going to get slippery on the street but I might be able to deal with it on my track days (I'm not a good driver).
Does anyone have any added input beyond what is already in the forums?

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
I think the NT01 will last you that long... I've had mine for part of last summer and still show little wear... I have 500+ rwhp and they hook while providing good cornering grip... they are my street tires.... love them.
they are the exact size you mentionned... pix in signature.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)
