factory 16 inch rim ???

what is the largest size tire i can run on my 99 16 inch rims, right now i have 245/50 ZR 16's. Can i go 255? i heard that 275 is the largest i can go but is it true that the larger the tire the more chances of my rear end breaking?

i had 275 on my stock rims. i think thats as big as you want to go on the stock rims.

but the larger tire shouldn't affect you rear at normal driving conditions. but if you are going to be drag racing and pulling hard lauches then i think the wider tires will put more stress on the rear. because they bite more the the other tires will.
just my thoughts.

Yes you can run 255 I have a set of stock wheels with them on the back but they did rub alittle with ex people in car turning in one little spot inside front
