Dilemma...
So here is the conundrum...
For the past few months, the only wheels I've been wanting for my car are ZR1's, because I love the way they look, and I love the fact that they are a nice stocky 11" wide out back. Not to mention, I wanted to stick with 17's.
This is where it get's tricky... I have recently come across a possible deal that involves c5 Z06 replica wheels for dirt cheap. And by dirt cheap, I mean <$60/wheel for the rears. The fronts will still run me about $125 ea, but I figure, how the hell can I pass on the rears.
Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Z wheels or black wheels (did I mention they're painted) They are only 10 1/2" out back, but it gets bumped up to an 18. The fronts I believe are 17x9 or 9 1/2... not too sure. And I'd also have to purchase tires... and from working at a dealership, I know those tire sizes are not cheap. (like putting tires on the ZR1 wheels would be like 12 bucks... )
I think I'm more trying to rationalize this decision. What do you guys think... should I pull the trigger on these Z wheels and be moderately happy, spend less, and have them now.... or wait for a deal to roll around on a set of ZR1's, probably pay more, but be happier?

Wait and be satisfied. You'll kick yourself later if you don't.

Wait, I did something similar and eventually ended up with my zr-1's.

I'm never one to be impulsive... but the price is like a tumor on my mind that won't go away...
I'm going to look at them first before I make up my mind completely.

It's $500 for polished 9.5", 11" rims from oewheels, and from what you said for the z06 wheels it would be $370. $130 difference for what you really want.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
Go with the ZR-1s. They look like the factory SS wheels, but with the wider rears, it's a subtle warning to challengers.

NBM Z28- 2002
I would go with the C5 Z06 rims for sure. I have a NBM Z28 and chrome looks so clean with a NBM fbody. I would go with 18's. ZR1 are okay, but its just too plain looking .

The Z06's in question are all black with a chrome lip.
And I kinda like the plain look... the only exterior mod I've done to my Z are chrome SS sized 17's and an SS wing. I like putting my focus on performance as opposed to appearance. Just my preference... and the 11" wide ZR1's are right up my alley.

You going to get the OEM ZR-1s or the ZR-1s with the deep-dish rears?

Buy & resell them
You'd be fine w/10.5" vs 11" though
