    Talking c6 wheels

    hey guys, just bought a 99 v6 firebird and I love the look of the c6 vette wheels on these cars! The factory chrome 16 inch wheels look good, but I won't be happy without those vette wheels. Does anyone have these on their f-body? Whats the best (not necessarly biggest) wheel size,offset,tiresize for this application? My car is totally stock (not lowered or anything) and is a daily driver; so I want looks as well as a decent ride without rubbing on those expressway ramps. Thanks for your help!

    I want c6's also or y2k corvettes. I would lower your car first. Actually I'd drop a v8 in it first but hey.

    Well the stock c6s are 18/19 setup, Im sure they have the 17/18" setup though.

    What about the c6 z06 rims, they have the five spoke but are split in the middle of each spoke, and look high tech. Just punch in corvette wheels and you will find them. The aftermarket ones come in a bunch of sizes.

    Here is a preview of my Formula with C6 wheels. I think the best size tire and wheels you can get is 18*9.5 wheels running P275/35R18 tires. If you run, this, it is my understanding that there is no rub issues and you can still rotate them. You can probally get a P285 if you prefer.

    Yes, I think they will. My only delima.... Chrome or Polished????

    CHrome is supose to be easier to care for. But they are more expensive and I am wondering if they will flake or pit easily????

    Polished requires more care but they are cheaper and won't flake nor pit and light damage can be polished out???

    Opinions????? Comments anyone?????

    Leaning toward chrome!!!!!(I think????)

    I like my chrome set they are very easy to clean and they always shine compared to my stock wheels which are polished and take a lot of care to look good.

    I have two vehicles with polished wheels and hate cleaning them but they keep the bling bling look under control by not shining too much and they repair easy (curbed or nicks) by sanding and polishing. Although I am looking at the c6 z06 wheels in chrome or black chrome for my vette.

    OK... looking more like I will be getting chrome C6s. My bird currently has the factory silver painted alumium mags, which have been easy to care for. So, for that reason I think I am going with chrome. {Actually my truck in the background above pic, has chrome wheels(factory), care for them has been real easy!!!!!}

    I've had my chromes c6's ever since they came out. No problems at all w/ flaking/pitting. Very easy to clean and they look great ! All I need now is a drop. I've got a couple of pics below in my sig. Best wishes.
