BIG O says 18x10.5 wont fit on the back of my TA!!
I just bought some c6 Z06 18x10.5 and 17x9.5 wheels for the TA and took them to BIG O Tires and they said they wont fit.
Called OEWheels and they said that the reason is that when the car is jacked up the suspension gets in the way. Just needs to be lowered so the suspension will be out of the way.... Is this true or BS???

Oh you might need to modify your rear bump stops. they eat up a few inches you will just need to check clearance when the tires are on and cars is settled on the ground

Depending on the offset of the rear wheels, you may or may not need to modify the bumpstops on a 10.5 inch wheel.

I have 18x11's on the back of my car.
1. No passengers, maybe 1
2. Don't try to take corners real fast tires will rub.

Wouldn't wheels spacers fix the rubbing problem? I just got c6 wheels that are 18x10.5 and 17x9.5 and I am replacing c5 wheels that are supposed to be the same width and everything but I measured the width's and the new wheels are about 3/4" wider. The c5 wheels are original vette wheels and the c6's are from OE wheels so I'm not sure why they are a little different but I thought I'd prolly ending up having to get spacers atleast for the back because with the c5's on it they already rub a little occasionally when I light them up around a corner. Spacers should fix this problem right?

For insurance/liability, is the reason why they told you that those wheels won't fit.

I put 315/40R Nitto Drag radials on stock 2004 vette wheels.
Had to run 5/16ths spacer in back.
Got long throat lugs and ran it at the track.
No probs with the rears but haven't ran the fronts.
Need center caps.
Might try the C6's next
