Best tire size for 18 x9.5 C5 wheels???

I would like to fill the wheelwell up, keep the same size on all 4 corners and prefer a taller sidewall (40 series maybe??) than the "low profile" look. What mfg. as well???? Thanks.........Mark...

275/40/18s will work fine in the rear, but you'll probably get some rubbing on full lock and possibly on hard cornering with 275/40/18s up front.

I'm running Falken 452's in a 275/40/18s rear which have been really good tires,and there inexpensive, about $156 at DTD.

thanks... I was hoping I could run 275/40's on all corners.. Anybody else
run 275/40's??? I just like the extra sidewall height of the 40 series....

Yea, but that is the factory size for the WS6

Anybody??? I have used the search function and read alot of threads.. I see most people will run 275 or 285/35/18's, but not much on the 40 series..See, I have done my homework, but still can't seem to find the right answers..

Should I just go with the 35 series and get used to it?? If so, does the 285/35/18 fill out the wheelwell?? They would still have a shorter sidewall than a 275/40/18 tire by .40 inches, maybe that is not enough to notice???

Or go with a 295/35R18. They will gain you some width but the overall diameter is .6 shorter.
275/40R18=26.7" OD
295/35R18=26.1" OD
285/35R18=25.9" OD which is shorter by .80 not .40 as you had stated in your post.

I stated SIDEWALL height, which is 4.33" on the 40 series vs. 3.93 on the 35
series = .40 inches.. Got my info from Tire Discounters.. But the 295/35/18 might be a better fit out back... Thanks T/A turbo, good idea...
