    Baby need rear shoes..

    OK folks baby is down and waiting for the paint guys--so

    Need advise on rear shoes for baby...

    Here’s the deal

    Looking at 20's targeting tire height of around 29"...looking to go at least 11" or wider (wheel wells will handle up to 16")...am thinking I don't want an aspect lower than 40...(want a little cushion between the rim and road..)

    My driving is in southern New Mexico heat..

    Power is a roller cam 454 with a tremec TKO 600. 2.56 gears.

    The combo of torque and gears works well and it doesn't take much to scald the 295-60-15’s....

    My driving style is mostly hard street driving, but there is a lot of open road out here so ZR’s are a must

    So sound off with suggestions
    71 Camaro, roller cam 454 LS6, tremec TKO 600 5 speed, 2.56 gears, berlineta t-top, New Mexico plate "RAT454"
    74 Monte Carlo, 95 LT1 drive traIn swap, full computer,
    67 Buick Electra 225, 430 tire burner wildcat,
    +++if it ain't broke it's breaking+++

    you are not going to have much of a selection in tire sizes that will fill your application. You will probly have to go with a 315/35/20 but if you go with a 40 series tire yo uare goin to loose some of your tred with, which by what you posted you need all you can get. Sometimes you have to sacrafise sidewall hight for tire with. I have 19's on my ta with 275/30/19 on it and it has 460 to the tire and it does ok. Just watch out fot the pot holes they are deadly.

    Still searching the tire books. 20's are a starting point...

    I had some 285 (I think) 35's on a buick regal...once, I trashed the wheels on that damm pot hole....

    Anyway will keep looking..

    Thanks again
