Avon Tires

Has anyone had any experience with Avon Tires? I might be getting the M500's mounted tomorrow for the rear, as my Fuzions are almost bald.

Tire rack has good reviews on it, and I can get 2 tires mounted, balanced and an alignment for 255$ at town fair tire

Well, I have never heard of Avon tires, but I can tell you this:

You get what you pay for.

My last set of tires were BFG KDW's 275/40/17 and mounted and balanced was a total of $465. And they have a lifetime warranty, including free rotations, air pressure checks and balancing. Also, with this company, if you get a nail through the sidewall, they consider that unrepairable and they will replace the tire, free.

Granted mine are wide tires, and you didn't state the size of yours.

I hadn't heard much of them either, but I needed at least 2 tires badly and they were 100$ a pop for 275/40-17 so I decided to try them. Got them mounted and balanced with a front alignment for 300$ this morning.

Can't say much performance wise as I have only driven about 3 miles on them. But I can say that they look MUCH better than the Fuzion's I have in the front. They look pretty aggressive all around. I'll get back to this thread though when I put a few hundred miles on them.

For now here are a few pics....I still have 2 Fuzions on in the front, so you'll be able to see the comparison in size (both 275/40-17)
