Anyone running Corvette N73 Magnesium wheels on an F-Body?

I recently picked up a set of Magnesium N73 wheels from a 1999 Corvette. The wheels are 17x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. I want to keep the tires close to the original size around so I don't have to make any speedo adjustment. Looking to see if anyone else is running them and what size tires you are using? Also, I know the offset is a little different on these wheels (more to the inside). If anyone is running them, can you tell me if you encountered any issues with rubbing or how the look compared to the stock wheels relative to their position in the wheel well?

If they are what I think they are(gold with "MAGNESIUM" on one spoke), you should be fine running them. There was a member with a white Z28 years ago running them. I don't think he had to do anything to make them fit nor make any adjustments. I am tempted to say the member is Tatertot91. You could run any brand you want and can afford. Some members recommend Nitto NT555.

You have the correct wheels. I'll try to PM Tatertot91 to see if you are correct. I'm really looking for tire size for these wheels. I have several options but want to see what someone running these wheels used and what they think.

    Thanks for the assist.

I didn't do the math on the difference in tire height from front to back, but have you checked to ensure with that set-up you won't have any issues with triggering the ABS?

Yes, I ran them briefly on my old z28 as well as a friend of mine who still runs a set. As far as the offset like you mentioned they are vette offset so they do tuck in a little so you might need to do a little hammering to gain a little clearance if you don't plan on running a small spacer (at which point I would also recommend longer studs).
i don't remember the tire size I ran but my friend runs a 285 without a spacer and I believe he rubs a little but I mean rarely. Are you looking for the fattest tire you can run or just wanting the best direct bolt on fitment?

and good memory rich, that was a long time ago

I thought that everything that works on Corvettes works on F-Bodys

Alex: I'm looking for the best fit without getting into changing the speedometer ratio or affecting the ABS. Stock tire is 25.6" tall. If I go with 245/45-17 front tire at 25.7" tall and 275/35-18 rear at 25.6" tall I think I should be OK. I don't think the lower sidewall on the rear tire should be that much of an issue. My car is not lowered so I'm assuming the 275 rear with the different offset should be good. If not I'll get out the BFH and make the necessary adjustment.

Dylan: Unlike almost every vette wheel, these N73s have a bit more offset to the inside. From what I researched, it was because they were primarily designed for the import market and it is a requirement in most European countries that the wheel and tire must be completely inside of the fender lip. I'm hoping the offset doesn't end up being really noticeable. I've convinced myself that the gold wheels will look really great with my NBM over Taupe color combo.

What you listed should work out fine, its not nearly a big enough difference to cause any problems. you might have to hammer a bit but you should be fine clearance wise.
They tuck in a bit but its not too bad and you could always space them out later down the road.
Post up some pics when you get them installed
