Anyone heard of this tire before?
My friend that owns a tire shop suggested I buy these. They're Korean tires that are just beginning to get popular in the US. He's got em on his mustang.
They're called Nexen http://www.nexentireusa.com/tire_detail.asp?pid=107
The model is N3000, I've researched online and theres barely anything to see. They have a UTQG Rating of 360 i think, and theyre AA A....z rated...They look pretty sweet, and cheap as dirt.
Was wondering if anyone has ever heard of them.
Any input is appreciated.

DO NOT BUY THOSE TIRES!! They suck. I had those on my eclipse and they only last about 6 months driving good and all. It was my commuter car and I never ran the car hard or anything just normal slow commuting and they wear so easily. With the ls1 there not even gonna last you 2 months..

Wow, I guess mine are the factory freaks then. They still have 3/4 tread left with a hard 5k on em. I actually wanna get rid of em because they are way to low profile for my tastes. They came with my c5 rims, and Im not about to throw away a new set of meats (they had 1k on em). In other words, I would beg to differ. They actually have very little road noise, and half way decent traction. So what was yer trick to killin em in 6 months? especially on an eclipse?

I put on the tires today...
So far Dry traction kicks that ass.....
As I was going home today at night....it started pouring.... So I thought,... great time to try the wet traction... Empty road doing 60 ish....slammed on the brakes....Amazing wet traction, as good as dry.
Now, the only thing left to see is how good the treadwear is.
Tires came out to 507 bucks... out the door..

nexens are pretty decent tires..... but i opted for a set of fuzion ZRi, never tried those out yet, and i have heard pretty good reviews about those. but of all the nexens i have installed, people throw back positive reviews when they come back in a couple months for oil changes and such.
as for squee... go with 275 on the front, and 315 on the back. the profile is up to you, i guess its whatever you like. as for type of tire... 500hp is pretty big, and a heavy foot, i think you'll probably have some traction problems launching no matter what street radials you go with. i would recommend nitto's or dunlops, but they are pricey.
