anyone ever try a power ball?

I need to clean up my wheels bad and was thinking about getting one of those Mother's power ball cone things. Are they worth it?

I used it in my engine bay. Bought one awhile back and before I ever used it, switched to clearcoated rims. It's alright, but not my cup of tea. Watch out for the out tip on the opposite side from where it attaches to the drill. if you push too hard while in use the washer can nick stuff.

    Stock wheels are clear coated.
Use a polish (not aluminum polish) and wax.

I use the powerball (mini) on my polished aluminum wheels (not coated).

Powerballs are junk . . .get a aluminum polish kit from harbor freight or eastwood.com for the same price, it usually includes 6 different size/kinds of cotton buffs and three types of rouges. The kits about $25.
If your wheels are real bad (but not pitted) . . . wet sand em with some 1000 grit and move up to 2000. Then polish and theyll be back to new.
