    It has a big wing!

Thumbs up Any pictures of your "BFH" modded wheel wells??

    Hey...

I was wondering if anyone had some shots of your "Big F------ Hammer" handy work?

I know many people end up doing a little massaging of the wheel wells to fit 315's on a lowered car.I just have never actually seen how extreme or not it is...Any pics with your wheels off would be cool.

Also any pics of rolled fenders would be great!

    Thanks!

this would be helpful for me too as I don't really know what exactly needs to be massaged in order to make them fit.

I had to bang mine up about this much and a little on top too about the same amount, just the edges basically. But i have my 315's on a 9.5 wheel and they're nittos too so i've heard that nittos arent as fat as other 315's out there and im lowered on the prokit. Ive been wanting to clean my wheels on the inside so maybe ill do that tomorrow and take some pics for ya too.

yeah I had to bang the FUCK out of mine, I guess it's cuz GM is not consistent with their wheelwells.

A friend of mine has an 01Z28 and his 295/35/18" on 10.5" wheels fit no problem, while a friend of mine and I REALLY worked to make those 10.5" wheels fit in there.

instead of beating the hell out of it with hammer and leaving all the marks, would you be able to use a grinder then hit with some paint?

I don't see how that would work unless you got a HUGE fucking grinder.

BFH mod enables you to mold or massage your inner fenderwell to fit around your tires correctly.

You can't see on my marks at all when the wheels are on. I did use some of the undercoating spray which looks just like the original stuff that was on there.

It varies between cars, so best bet is to test fit the wheel, mark your trouble spots, then take some aggression out.

    not at all.

and that one pic was before I sprayed on the truckbed liner spray.

the only way you can tell is if you make it a point to look in there and really, no one has ever said WOW your inner fenderwell looks like shit

Hey Baluch no problem, glad I could help.

Yes sir I have the Ground Control coilover kit with Koni Dual Adjustables. They're 500 pound fronts 150 pound rears. I'm replacing the springs with 600 pound and 200 pound rears.

f-bodys are funny. i have a sportline lowering kit with nitto drag radials on tt2 and they dont scrub at all. I did have to recenter my rearend with a panhard bar tho. only thing that i might need to do with mine is to roll the fenders a little bit.

something else too, you want to put the tires on first and drive around in them and allow the rubbing to occur, that way when you take off the tires and look you'll see where the tires are contacting the fenderwell and THEN start banging away.

    This.

I didn't even know mine were rubbing. I probably drove around for about 2 weeks with them before i decided i wanted to go drag race and i was swapping my m/t's and i noticed my nitto's were rubbing a bit so then that's when i banged her up a bit so they wouldn't rub. They were rubbing before i swapped springs to the prokit and i didn't have to bang it more when i changed springs either.

when you guys say "roll the fender" where exactly are you referring... I guess I'll probably run it normal for a bit and see if I have any rubbing but I would just like to know before I bang up something I shouldn't be.

Hey buddy sorry for not responding to this...do you still need to know what rolling the fender means?

this is for the rear fenders only and when you have oversized rear tires AND you have your vehicle lowered.

let's say you have a lowered f-body and you did it the right way and got an adjustable PHR and re-centered the rear axle so that the rear tires are truly centered to the rear of the car.

Okay...if your vehicle is lowered chances are the outside sidewall of the right rear tire may start to get sliced up by the inner fender, which has a metal lip that is perpendiculer to the rear fenders.

rolling the fenders means that you use some sort of device to force that lip to be angled more towards the inside of the fender so that you don't get your rear tire's sidewall all shredded up and shit.

usually folks do both rear fenders to be uniformed, but unless you got some fucking WIDE tires you'll only have to worry about the right rear.

I still haven't rolled my inner fenders and yes they have continued to ever-so-gently slice the outer sidewall of my right rear tire.

I don't want to do it myself cuz lots of folks end up making the paint chip, so I'd rather have some bodyshop do it the right way...that is, to cut the lip and then bend the lip up against the fender and sand and paint, that's the best way.

    Hope this helps.
