Yeah, I've bought new and in a pinch, once bought used. No real problems personally, and I know a lot of people get them new on there...

I bought mine from ebay I just read all the details, ask questions if i'm unsure, look at the pics closely, and check the sellers feedback and i've never had a problem with ebay.

i did buy some used tires for the wifes HHR we are getting rid of soon, and i didnt want to spend big $ on new ones. I was sent pics, but the tires looked worse once i received them. but all in all i got a pair of tires for 100 shipped that would cost me 180 each. i may get 3000 miles out of these.

I bought a NEW wheel and tire package off ebay, They came to my door packaged nicely, mounted and balanced ready to go, and filled with nitrogen. I paid close to $450 less than the lowest price I could find locally and they made it to my doorstep 4 days after ordering. I try to buy everything on ebay I save a fortune, and in the 5 years I have used e-bay haven't got burned yet. (KNOCK ON WOOD)

i was looking at used tires i suppose. i can find a set of 18" tires for $300 from a dealer on line. but i can get a set on Ebay, used, for about $70 less. i'm just wondering if it's worth the shot...

I also bought new tires for my truck on ebay, Again, I paid $150 cheaper than anyone in town. I had them mounted at my local tire store, and then they even gave me lifetime rotation and balanceing and I only paid $25 to have them done the first time. Can't beat that at all.
