American Racing wheels?
Anyone know a good place or website to find some American Racing Torq Thrust M's with the "anthracid" (gunmetal) coating on them?

If you are looking for the glossy painted centers AR does not sell them you will need to either get them painted, or powder coated. The do offer a non-glossy painted center they look ok but nothign like the glossy ones.

I went to American Racing's website, and they do have the glossy-gunmetal (they call it "anthracite"). They're called Torq Thrust M. I just dont know where to find them on the web. I looked at Jegs, and they do have them just not in 17x9 with a 5x4.75 bolt pattern for Camaros...

i definantly would suggest not to powder coat your daily driver wheels they are hard to keep nice mine have rock chips in them.

Everybody, thanks for your feedback. It helped a lot! I finally ordered my wheels and tires for $1,200. I got the gunmetal TT M's with 275/40ZR-17s (Kuhmo Ecstas).

Tire Rack. They were the lowest price I could find for brand new wheels. Good looking out, Clint195!

What brand tires and sizes did you go with? Any rubbing issues? Is your car lowered or stock suspension. I have a 02 T/A WS6 (stock suspension) and I am considering 17x9 up front and the 17x10.5 out back; I just want to make sure that they won't rub because I do not want to hammer the wheel well or roll the fenders.

No you will be fine with stock suspension i went with the Nitto 555r 315/35/17for the rear and i had no problems on stock suspension up front i went with the Nitto 555. The NItto 315's dont run as wide as other brands but i would say it is a good tire. But next time around i am going to run the new Mickey Thompson Street radial which is a little wider. Any ways keep my posted on what you do. If you have any questions let me know.
