    Air tire pressure help!!! 275 40 zr17

    I have a 2001 ws6 6speed.
Slp lid .knn filter. slp maf. LT's . High flow cats . 3in Y. Slp catbck.
    Tb bypass.

I have four month old riken raptors only about 800miles on them. I would
launch hard on them when my car didn't have longtubes and tires gripped perfect.
Now that I have longtubes they don't grip as well in first gear and just roast through first gear when trying to launch.
What tire pressure should my tires be set at?
    Riken raptors 275 40 zr17

car is only driven on weekends not my DD.

    Thnks in advnce

You have to get used to more power, and how it launches now. I set my tires to OE spec of 30, but they are not Rikens.

Headers are a great power adder, eh? How's the sound? And what are you gonna do come emmissions testing?

I set mine at 33 front and 30 rear. The front is a little heavier is why.

Set them to 32psi front, and 30psi rear.

I have 245-40-ZR18 in the front and I keep them at 35. The rears I keep at either 30-32. If you run the rears @ 35, you're looking at rear tires soon as the center tread will wear more than the outer edges.

    Falken 452's 275/35/18 front, and 275/40/18 rear

My tire's grip and ride great.

You'll definitely want to drop your rear tire pressure down from 36psi!

Should I check my psi when the tires are hot or cold?

^^^cold. That means after the tires have not moved for 3 hours or more, or the vehicle has been driven for 1 mile or less after sitting that length of time.

If you check your tires hot, they could have ~4 psi higher. Then someone makes an adjustment, and suddenly the tires are 4 psi low on pressure when properly checked.
