how do you like the nitto? i wanted to get a set of bfg drag's but specs on tire rack say minimum 11 inch rim. so i will most likely go with the nitto. thanks

i just received them ... and they aren't mounted on the wheels yet.

for the rear... I'll be using a 1/4" spacer.
In the front, a 1/2" spacer... but you can get away w/ less in the front.
I basically wanted the wheels to stay more or less @ same location as my present 17x11... with a bit more clearance on each side... for no issues whatsoever.
not that the 17x11 +50mm work well w/ 1/4" spacer in front... none in back

You will have to measure the width of the tire when it gets mounted. The 315/35-17 are narrow compared to other manufacturers so I am curious if this is still the case with there latest competition tire.

i'm presently on Yoko A032R tires... based on their spec sheet, the 315/35-17 has the following (mounted on 17x11):
overall width: 12.5"
overall diameter: 25.7"
thread width: 11.8"
The Nitto NT-01 in 315/30-18 (mounted on 18x11):
overall width: 12.6"
overall diameter: 25.35"
thread width: N/A
now note that since it's mounted on 18x10.5, the overall width will be slightly smaller.

Before i say anything, note that the Yokohama A032R has 2 compounds... the S(Soft) and the H(Hard), ie A032R-S and A032R-H.
I have always used the H... the S being meant for strickly auto-x and colder weather.
I use them daily, so the S was no good for me... i needed a harder compound.
Having said that, they are great, especially in wet... it's a great wet R-compound... in dry, it does pretty good compared to the competition, and imho, it suffers a bit too much from heat cycling... ie the compound will get hard before you use the thread up... nothing like the Kuhmo V700 Victoracers that stick a bit more and heat cycle worse... but sticks roughly like the RA1 and V700 Ecsta.. but these don't perform as well on wet.
