Don't put 315's in the front unless you like your steering to be ridiculously sensitive.

315's outback are fine as stated above for a stock ride height. I lowered mine 1.3" all around so i rolled the inner fender well..i also run F1s which generally run ~1/2" wider than other 315 tires.

wouldnt havin 315's up front create a ton of extra drag when goin down the strip

If you are drag racing with it, skip the 315's up front. They can fit, but most will never use/need that much tire up front.

I am lowered and running a thinner 315 out back (nitto dr)...no fender rolling, no BFH, etc...

If you don't mind...what kit did you use to lower your car? I have the SLP/Bilstein kit and was wondering if 315's would fit in the back without any hammering.

    ProKit springs.

Each car is a little different. As I understand it, the TTII's are one of the better fitting 17x11" wheels as well.

My exact set-up could require some fender rolling on a different car.

    No one mentioned Drag racing?

For the street and the road track the ability to rotate your tires is golden, and you cannot do that with 11's on the back and 9.5's in the front.

The offset is part of the wheel...not the tire.

The offset is different between 17x9.5 and 17x11 wheels.

what if you were to go 17x10.5 in the back with 315's and 17x8 up front, what tire size is needed up front?

    245's more than likely.
17x9.5 is the typical front size though.
