305 /45/18 Nittos 555
Hey guys whats up? I have a tire wheel fitment ? Has anyone fit 305/45/18 on a Z06 replica wheel (18X10.5) in the rear? I just bought a pair of Nitto 5555 Extreme Drag Radials, but know that I see them they look a little big. I dont know if they will fit without rubbing or problems.
2002 Camaro SS, Hooker Exhaust, Pacesetter Headers, Drag Dump, TSP Magic Stick 4, Comp Cams valve train, GM LS6 Intake Manifold, High Volume Fuel Pump, MTI Intake, K&N Air Filter, 3600 Stall, sub-frame connectors... still working on new wheels

nittos run small...i have my tires nitto 315 DRs and while to me they look very big...i know that they are closer to a true 305 size. so yours would be close to a 295ish width and that isnt too bad. but with 18s and depending on your offset you may need to do some bfh mod

I just put 305/40/18's with the same rim on my car. They fit good. The inner wheel well (up front, down low) needed a "little" tweak with the BFH, but had plenty of clearance afterwards. My tires diameter are 27.7, but the 45's are 28.8. You may have a little clearance issue at the rear bumper cover. It's gonna put it close. Good luck!

Well to begin with, I was browsing at some tires, sizes and prices. I had one size written down and my wife tried to surprise me by buying them for me without me knowing. So they got here and she ordered the 305/45/18's Nitto 555 Etreme Drag. Which as I look at them now they are actually ok. I didn't want to ship them back and lose $40 dollars in S&H for a second set plus pay an extra $60 to $80 per tire.
I finally got them mounted and on the my car. It was Bitter Sweet once they were on. My car wa very original until know, I had to have the wheel well reduced and hammered. My buddy helped me with the mod's, every time he hammered the wheel well it felt like he was hammering my balls. I think it hurt me more than the car. (My car had been babied a lot, until now). When I jack the car up the rear tires still make contact with the bump stop but once dropped it free and clear. They look a little odd but I still like them. I was going for the Staggered look 18's in the rear and 17's in the front. It gives my car more of a "track " look, it's a very aggresive look. I'll post some pics up tomorrow!

The taller tire in the rear, along with the staggered wheels looks AWESOME! It does have more of a track look. Now you need to do gears to make up for what you lost with a tire 2" taller! I'm gonna put in 4.10's or 4.30's.
