As far as the stress issue. You'll be fine. I'm still running the stock 10 bolt with a 17x11 inch rim in the back since I've had the car.

no1 knows?? Come on guys! I checked out a few places today and a guy told me that 17's in the front and 18's in the back will fuck up my handeling. Now i dont rip around corners all the time, the car is more for a straight line performance, however if the handeling is worse that what it is now than i will pass. How much do ur 295's run you? And how long do they last w/o doing burnouts. I am worried if 17's will fit in the front becasue there is a 2" gap from the actuall ruber to the front bumper. (Look at my pic above)

Running 17s in front and 18s in the rear is fine. You need to check the diameter of the tires, for example:
If you went with 275/40/17s in front, your diameter would be 25.7"
If you go with 295/35/18s in the rear, your diameter would be 26.1"
You would be fine with that, and all this could be answered from this sticky up top:

As far as the wheels fitting your car correctly, do you know the offset of them, thats what will determine if they fit correctly. If you didn't find that out before you purchased them, its a strong possibility they will not fit correctly.
