225 60 16 on stock 16x8 wheels? Is it safe

Looking for all season tires. Can't find much in 245 50 16. Have a lot of good snow capable all seasons in 225 60 16. Can I have these put on the stock 16x8 z28 wheels?
    Are they safe?
I have stock ride height, will they rub?
    Thanks for the help

I don't see any problem with that size. They should be safe, no rubbing and no measureable ride height change.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

Thanks. I found a set of goodyear triple tread all seasons. Hopefully they don't look too bad on the car

They will be much narrower but same height. With the 225 not being a z rated tire, you'll notice it won't handle as well.

It will fit, but it won't handle as well and if you get in the throttle at all it'll spin and spin and spin lol

I have a set of Hankook Snow tires 245-45-17s that do that, and smoke real good when I forgot what I was running for tires.

225-60's wont do many favors in road holding or acceleration traction.

Update. Put kumho ecsta in stock 245/50/16 on the car. Rides a lot softer than the Bridgestone tires. It did lose a little dry handling in the hard corners due to the softness of the tire, but works just fine for a street car.
Been in the rain a couple times so far. Not bad, but acceptable for the power level. Predictable f body handling. Slides if you gas it in a turn. Other than that straight down the country roads.
Have not been on the highway with it yet as I am a bit out of the city loop.
They handle well on gravel and dirt roads.
Will post an update once we get snow on that too.
