Wire Mod / Engine Bay
How do you guys feel about drilling a hole in your fender to hide wires? I really want to clean up the engine bay, but feel a little wierd about drilling that big hole. Is there another way? Any pics of clean engine bays without the wire mod or any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

2nd that if Y2KPewterSS can do it to his car anyone can do it... that guy zaino's the underside of the car for crying out loud... anyway I'm quite particular about my car too and I had serious doubts aswell infact when I started drilling I was very nervous but afterwards the result is AWESOME

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
It's a very LOUD and scary process and totally worth it in the end! Make sure you get some touch up paint on the areas you bore through so that it doesn't rust.

I did this mod, and regretted it. The tie wraps holding the wire in place came loose, and the main connector moved over into the spring coils. One pothole impact broke one connector in half - and pulled the two apart, stranding me briefly.
I'm not saying "don't do it" - I'm just saying, be very careful.- 2002 Trans Am WS6 -

there is actually five holes if you count the ones behind the traction control module, however some people don't move the ground wires at the same time but I suggest that you do...

I am glad that I did mine too. I was worried about something happening with them being under the fender but so far everything is fine. (Knock on wood)
